About Dr. Lewinson

Dr. Lewinson is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery with extensive training and experience.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California, with a special interest in molecular biology. He received his podiatric medical degree in San Francisco and completed medical rotations at Naval Hospital San Diego, Camp Pendleton Marine Base, VA Westwood, VA Loma Linda, USC County Hospital, and Olive View–UCLA Medical Center. He then completed a competitive residency at Beverly Hills Medical Center.

Dr. Lewinson practiced three decades in Southern California, where he provided comprehensive podiatric medicine and surgery for many actors, musicians, comedians, and athletes. He has also donated his services through pro bono work with the Los Angeles Free Clinic, Venice Free Clinic, and the Baja Cripple Children’s Project.

Because of his own personal experience with hospice for a family member, Dr. Lewinson now focuses his practice exclusively on house-calls catering primarily on hospice and home-bound patients. His work is intentionally limited in scope, emphasizing comfort, safety, and respectful care in a home setting.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lewinson is an avid trail runner and has a long-standing interest in permaculture design. He previously created a suburban homestead featuring rainwater catchment, gray-water irrigation, food gardens, and edible landscaping. He has since relocated to a more rural environment and continues his work as a house-call podiatric physician.

Dr. Lewinson is known for his calm, thoughtful approach and is committed to providing dignified, unhurried care to patients who benefit most from in-home services.
